Price and Stock Availability not Displayed in Product View

This is usually due to your template using the deprecated
app/design/frontend/base/default/template/catalog/product/view/type/simple.phtml file.

  • Edit app/design/frontend/default/[your template name]/layout/catalog.xml
  • Search for “catalog/product/view/type/simple.phtml”
  • Replace with “catalog/product/view/type/default.phtml”
  • Save catalog.xml
  • Clear your Magento cache.

If you view your product page again, your stock availability and price should now be displayed.
